Terms and Conditions

    Hello Iceland Tours ehf. (hereafter “Hello Iceland”) operates several websites under its registered trademark in Iceland HelloIceland. By using www.helloiceland.is, www.helloiceland.co.uk, or any other Hello Iceland website you agree to be legally bound by these General Business Conditions (hereafter “GBC”), which shall take effect immediately. Please review each time before using our website and services our most recent GBC Hello Iceland as they may change from time to time without notice.

    We give you permission to use the site subject to the restrictions in these GBC

    First

    You may not use any content owned by Hello Iceland in anyway except for your own personal use. Any commercial use of Hello Iceland content requires the prior written permission of Hello Iceland.

    Second

    Please create an account for your personal use only, which you are responsible for in order to use some of the features on tour site. Keep your password in a save way.  Please inform us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.  Hello Iceland reserves the right to close your account if there is any suspicious transaction without warning.

    Third

    By putting content on the Hello Iceland webpage you hereby irrevocably grant us permission to use your content for any purpose without any possible recourse.  Any content on the site that you have contributed to is the ownership of Hello Iceland and we may use this content in any way possible for marketing.

    You are responsible for your content and assume all risks associated with it, including anyone’s reliance on its accuracy, completeness or usefulness, or any disclosure by you of information in your content that makes you personally identifiable. Hello Iceland may remove your content at our sole discretion.

    Fourth

    Any complaints or issues regarding a booking, tour or an operator associated with Hello Iceland are to be directed to info@helloiceland.is

    Fifth

    As the terms and conditions of each tour operator may vary, please read the terms and conditions of each operator by checking the voucher you receive on your email for details.

    Sixth

    Prices are per person, based on the local tariff at the time of quoting, converted at the prevailing foreign-exchange rate as determined by Hello Iceland, unless otherwise specified. Price quotations are subject to change without notice, until a booking has been confirmed.

    Seventh

    Hello Iceland offers a 24 hour refund policy on all tours offered on the website unless stated otherwise by specific tour operators. Should the customer wish to cancel a booking, the request must be issued with Hello Iceland either via email, online chat or telephone at the latest 24 hours before the tour starts.

    In case the change incurs additional cost an online invoice will be raised to the customer. Requests for refunds or cancellations of past services need to be submitted within 7 days after the completion of the tour to be reviewed by Hello Iceland and relevant tour operator.

    Eight

    When you book your trip you will be able to choose a pickup location and starting time. Please respect this at all times as if you don’t show up for the scheduled pickup time and location stated on your booking, your reservation is non-refundable.

    Pickup location can be updated after booking, no later than 24 hours before departure, by clicking on the ‘Click here to edit booking’ in your email voucher or by contacting Hello Iceland directly. In case you don’t get confirmation for the updated location please call the number listed on your voucher or Hello Iceland.

    Ninth

    Any change you want regarding your trips please use the ‘Edit Booking’ option in your electronic voucher email. If you are unable to utilize that function, please call us or send us an email so we can do our very best to assist.

    Tenth

    In case your tour is cancelled by the operator you will always receive a full refund unless you accept to go for a rescheduled trip instead of the cancelled one.

    Eleventh

    Full payment is charged to your credit card when you reserve online. All charges on our webpage are made in Icelandic Krona, though you can view an estimate of prices in a number of currencies. This is only a service for you to help you understand the approximate price in your local currency. All refunds are processed in Icelandic Krona. As Hello Iceland does not charge any booking or transaction fees we cannot be held liable to any loss in currency exchange, booking or transaction fees during transactions.

    Twelfth

    Each tour operator reserves the right to change routes, schedules and to cancel a tour if needed because of weather, road conditions or any other unforeseen reasons. We recommend all travellers to purchase a comprehensive travel insurance to minimize possible losses due to unforeseeable situations during their travel.

    Thirteenth 

    Under no circumstances will Hello Iceland or its agents, affiliates, service providers, suppliers, and / or distributors be liable for any losses or damage arising from the use of helloiceland.is regardless of the form of action.

    Fourteenth

    Hello Iceland does not operate any tours but directs you to tours operated by local service providers in Iceland. Neither does Hello Iceland charge users any fees, and as such, cannot be liable for any accidents, losses, injuries, sickness, death, damages, delays, expenses due to any action or inaction on the part of the operator, guide or his/her services. The same applies for any changes in tour schedule due to weather, strikes pilferage, labour disputes, machinery breakdown, government restrains, acts of war and/or terrorism, weather conditions, defect in any vehicle of transportation or for any misadventure or casualty or any other causes beyond their control, or any other force majeure.

    Fifteenth

    When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information”.

    We collect Device Information using the following technologies:
    – “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit https://www.allaboutcookies.org.
    – “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
    – “Web beacons”, “tags”, and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.

    Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information”.

    When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

    Upon booking, Hello Iceland will keep the following information in their system: Name registered to booking, nationality provided, booking locale, email address, phone number and payment method.

    Sixteenth

    For offering the best service Hello Iceland reserves the right to offer email and phone number to operators with which client is scheduled for a tour. For efficient communication we need correct email address and phone number and cannot be held accountable for any problems arising due to lack of communication.

    Seventeenth

    We will never store or have the ability to view any credit card numbers, expiry dates, full name of card owner registered or CVC numbers.

    Eighteenth

    For any disputes arising from these General Business Conditions.  The General Business Conditions are governed by Icelandic law and its jurisdiction is strictly by the district court of Reykjavík.
